The Edward King Memorial Award
Is awarded to the graduating student who demonstrates academic excellence and leadership in the school programme.
The I.B. Award
Is presented to the graduating student involved in the IB program who has maintained academic excellence and an active participation in school activities, clubs or teams.
The Knights of Columbus Award
Is awarded to the graduating student who excels in academics, participates in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and who embodies the four principles of the Knights of Columbus: charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Community Volunteer Award
Is presented to a graduating student in recognition of exemplary volunteer activity and community contributions
The Most Outstanding Student Award
Is awarded to the graduating student who has contributed, in an outstanding way, to the school in the areas of academics, athletics, leadership and involvement in school activities during his/her high school years.
The Oscar Romero Award
Is presented to the graduating student who demonstrates a commitment to social justice and who demonstrates his/her convictions through action.
The Principal’s Award
Is awarded to the graduating student who has overcome all barriers put in his/her path throughout his/her school years and who has achieved success.
The R.J.McCarthy Award:
Is awarded to the graduating student who has made a significant contribution to the quality of student life and whose character and accomplishments exemplify the mission of the school.
The School Council Award
Is given to the graduating student who has demonstrated a commitment to Catholic family values, respect for the school and public property, significant involvement in school and community, volunteerism and positive role-modeling.
The St. Francis Xavier Secondary School Community Service Award:
Is awarded to the graduating student who has gone significantly beyond the diploma expectations of 40 hours of community service.
The Student Catholic Leadership Award
Is presented a student who demonstrates a commitment to their Catholic faith in the service of others.
The Brian Brozo Memorial Award
This award is presented to the graduating student who has overcome obstacles and challenges in his or her educational journey and who has achieved success.
The Cosmetology Award in Memory of Stefanie Sousa
This award is presented to a graduating student who has shown success and talent in the Cosmetology program.
The Edge Imaging Award
This award is presented to a graduating student in recognition of success shown in the communication Technology Program.
The Food Services Provider Award
This award is presented to a graduating student who has made an outstanding contribution in the area of food services.
The Gene Korchinos Memorial Humanitarian Award
This award is presented to a graduating student who demonstrates the following characteristics in the St. Francis Xavier school community on a daily basis: Empathy, Compassion and a genuine concern for the well being of others. The two students receiving this award embody a selfless desire to embrace and enhance the lives of others without seeking any personal gain, reward or recognition.
The George Brown Hospitality SHSM Award
This award is presented to a student who has contributed significantly to the Hospitality SHSM program at St. Francis Xavier.
The Jose Velez Award
This award is presented to a graduating student whose culinary talents show promise as well as a student who displays an independent spirit.
The Michael Timpano Award
This award is given to the graduating student who artistic talents show promise as well as a student who has an independent spirit of hope and vision.
The SHSM Healthcare and Wellness Award
This award is presented to a student who has contributed significantly to the SHSM Health and Wellness program at St. Francis Xavier Secondary.
The Student Success Award
This award is presented in recognition of a graduating student who has overcome academic adversity to achieve success through alternative education and or credit recovery.
The Top Child Award
This award is presented to the graduating student with the highest average in the area of music.
Joe Hugel Award
The Dufferin-Peel Roman Catholic District School Board established the Joe Hugel Award in honour of its first Director of Education in 1983. The award was given to a grade 10 student because government funding of the school system was limited to this grade in its early beginning. The Awards Committee assumed the sponsorship of this award in June of 1996. This award is given to the grade 10 student in every secondary school with the highest overall final average.
