A  Real   Tradition

Cross-Country running at Xavier has become very competitive over the years.  It has become a highly organized athletic club with emphasis on a high participation rate, high performance and real athleticism. The Team has grown in size over the years carrying 40 members.  These are divided up in midget boys / girls (grade 9), junior boys / girls (grade 10) and senior boys / girls (grades 11/12).

Tryouts take place immediately upon returning to school (within the first week).  The coaches invite you to try out.  It will be an unbelievable experience that will ensure you make new friends, have fun, get super fit and most importantly learn about yourself and build character. It is not for the faint of heart though. Student athletes trying out should already be comfortable with running and have a solid endurance.  The coaches will take it from there and make you even better runners.

Thus far we are very proud to have claimed two championships in midget boys (2010) and junior boys (2013).  A 2nd place finish to the midget girls (2015). A 1st place individual midget girls’ finish (2015).  A 3rd place finish in junior girls (2015) and finally a 3rd place overall team finish in the Region of Peel (2015).
